IVAR recognises the importance of sustainability

Monitoring of environmental impact at every stage of the product life cycle. From sourcing raw materials to packaging used.

Geothermal system installation

Our plant reaches a depth of 93 metres with a maximum flow rate of 34 l/s, with a reduction in CO2 emissions of 105 tonnes per year.

Installation of the first car charging station

With two car charging slots, the charging station has been installed in front of the main entrance.
It is still installed and usable today by employees and other “green” users.

We have obtained European certification for sustainable electricity EKOenergy

EKOenergy is an international non-profit eco-label for energy (renewable electricity, gas, heat and cooling).
EKOenergy-labelled energy is not only 100% renewable, but also meets strict environmental sustainability criteria and finances projects to combat energy poverty.

The energy used is certified as coming exclusively from renewable sources.

Adoption of water-based coatings for packaging

Facilitates recycling: reduces the presence of solvents and chemicals, improves the separability of materials in recovery processes and limits fibre contamination.

CONAI tender award for ecodesign

New havana boxes: 100% recyclable (compared to the previous version, which was 75% recyclable) and low weight (496 grams versus 529).
