Photovoltaic system
Impianto di oltre 6000 pannelli di 671 kWp, in grado di soddisfare oltre il 11% del fabbisogno energetico annuale e di ridurre l’immissione di CO2 in atmosfera di circa 245 t/anno.
Geothermal plant
Heating/cooling-air conditioning with water/water geothermal heat pump with a total power of 570 kW. Reduces CO2 in atmosfera di altri 105 t/anno.
Natural gas CO2 free
Carbon dioxide emissions from gas consumption are offset to support the environment.
Energy 100% from renewable sources
Energy derived exclusively from renewable sources. Its generation does not cause the emission of greenhouse gases, saving CO2 of over 1,400 t/year.
Adaptive lighting
Extremely high-efficiency LED lamps that adapt their output and power consumption according to actual brightness demand, saving up to 70% energy.
Energy Economisers
They encourage lower energy consumption, resulting in lower CO2 amounting to approximately 54 t/year.
Hot air recovery
The air-conditioning systems in the offices are equipped with heat recovery units. Hot air is recovered from the compressor room and refrigeration units for space heating.
Inverter compressors
Compressors equipped with inverters adapt their output to the actual demand.
E-Station
10 charging slots for electric vehicles are installed in the site car park for company cars. 2 slots are available outside for employees' and visitors' cars.
Eco-friendly vehicles
Company cars are powered by hybrids or natural gas.
Printed on FSC paper
We print our technical and informative documentation on paper from responsibly managed forests.
Recycled packaging
Packaging is done with boxes and cartons made from 100% recycled material. The packaging bags are made from 70% recycled plastic.
Printing with water-based varnishes
IVAR packaging is printed exclusively with water-based ink, facilitating its disposal and recycling at end-of-life.
Zero-emission website
Offsetting CO2 generated by accesses to the company site (based on page views) through new tree planting in Italy.

We had the opportunity to achieve SDGs certification of offsetting biomass consumption due to paper printing in cooperation with Print Relief.
Electric vehicle for handling goods
The “shuttle”, a vehicle used for internal transport of goods, which moves between the various warehouses at the Prevalle production site, is fully electric.
100% compostable cups
The new glasses used in the company by guests visiting the plant, at events and during trade fairs are 100% biodegradable and compostable and will allow us to reduce the non-compostable component in our waste collection.
Recycling
IVAR has joined a new project in cooperation with the CAUTO Network, which consists of revisiting waste collection within the company, with the aim of making it more efficient and sustainable.
Water dispensers and flasks
Water dispensers with reverse osmosis filters are available for all employees. IVAR also provided all employees with a steel water bottle to reduce and avoid the use of disposable plastic.
Smog-eating“ paint”
We opted to apply a special paint containing TX Active to the exterior walls of our sheds.® by Italcementi, a photocatalytic active ingredient for so-called “smog-eating” cement products.
Bees friends
We have joined the project of the municipality of Prevalle, one of the first “Bee Friendly” municipalities in Lombardy, and on our land too, we have installed huts that will be able to accommodate new swarms in the future.
Zero waste
For a few years now, in our refreshment areas, fresh leftover fruit has been made available to reduce waste, thus significantly reducing the amount of organic waste in the recycling collection.
